Former Man United striker Dion Dublin believes Man United’s defence will have to be on high alert at Anfield when Louis van Gaal’s side take on Liverpool.
Two points separate the rivals and Dublin thinks the pace and movement of Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge, along with the midfield mastery of Steven Gerrard means the United back line are in for a tough afternoon.
“When you haven’t got the ball you play at a pace and when you have got the ball you have to play at a pace but it’s more important sometimes to slow it down, start again and assess the situation,” he told the Weekend Sports Breakfast.
“And there’s nobody better in Liverpool’s history at doing that than Steven Gerrard. United will find it hard when they go quick, quick slow.
“I just hope United’s defence are concentrating fully today because they’ll need to.”
