Dyche statement
Sean Dyche has released a statement via the League Managers Association after he was sacked by Everton.
He was dismissed from his role at Goodison Park last week, with David Moyes returning to the club to replace him.
Moyes will take charge of his first game as Toffees boss tonight, with Dyche piling praise onto his successor.
“It was an honour to manage Everton, a football club with a significant heritage and an enormous following in Liverpool and all over the world, through one of its toughest periods in its history," Dyche said.
"Despite the challenges we faced, I wanted to ensure that the club’s narrative was focused on the positive direction it will take in the future and that the team could focus on competing in the Premier League in the present.
“I thank my staff, the players and all involved who played their part, as it simply wasn’t possible without their support and expertise.
"I also thank the fans who came through for us many times when we all needed their support.
“The right time has come to leave the club, with the team in good shape.
"David is a manager who I have great respect for and I believe he and his staff will help to push the club forward again and build on the stable footing we have implemented in the past two years.
“I wish everyone well going forwards including the new owners, who I hope will take the club to the next level and deliver the success which every Evertonian wants.
“My part as a custodian has been played and I will forever take great pride in that.
"After going through some extremely difficult situations, I never lost faith in everyone around me and we did everything we could to protect the badge, safeguarding it and the name of Everton Football Club.”
Cann-on the move
Leicester City have recalled striker Tom Cannon from his loan at Championship side Stoke.
Cannon joined the Potters in the summer window and scored nine goals in 22 games in the second tier.
He netted a penalty in a 2-1 FA Cup win over Sunderland at the weekend too, but he will now be departing the club.
The forward returns to Leicester who are in need of some more threat in his position this season.
However, it's now expected that Cannon will be leaving the Foxes in a permanent deal rather than staying at the King Power.
Leicester need to raise money to afford other purchases this month as they bid to stay up in the Premier League.
Sheffield United and Sunderland are reported to have made offers, with another Championship move on the cards.
'I am always worried'
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has admitted he's worried about his side failing to control the second half of a game.
The Blues dominated and led at the break against Bournemouth last night, but they almost fell to a defeat in the end.
This has become a theme for Maresca's men, although the Italian has said he's always on edge no matter the result.
He said post-game at Stamford Bridge: "I am always concerned and I am always worried, even when we win.
"For sure, every game is different. Tonight after the goal and after we conceded the penalty, we changed and we dropped a little bit.
"Those are the moments where you have to show even more your personality and your character because you have conceded.
"The game was 100% under control and we need to understand why we dropped after the penalty but I am worried always.
"I am more worried when you don’t create and we don’t play well. When you create, probably, hopefully, we can be more lucky in the future."

Forest keeper Sels: 'We want to finish as high as possible'
Matz Sels speaking to TNT Sports: "One point is a good result for us. Before the game there was a lot of talk from everyone about 'if we win or if we lose' but this was a good scenario for us. We scored a quick goal but then we know it is a small advantage.
"In the second half we knew they would have more spaces between the lines. They are a very good team, they use that space and created a lot of chances. We are happy with the point and are looking forward to Sunday."
On his own performance: "First half I did not have a lot of work but always against these teams there are a few moments.
"In the last 20-25 minutes they had quite a few chances. It is important for me to be there to help the team to stay in the game.
"In the end, everyone could see that people had cramps and pains which shows that everybody fought for it and we deserved the point. We need to continue looking forward."
On challenging for the title: "We are not talking about this. We want to finish as high as possible in the league.
"A lot of people before the season said we would play against relegation so we need to enjoy the good momentum we are in. We take it game by game."

Pep Guardiola offered praise for Stefan Ortega despite screaming at him after Manchester City's 2-2 draw at Brentford.
He told TNT Sports: "[Josko Gvardiol] played incredible! I was satisfied! The same with [Ortega].
"I said how good he played, the actions with the ball, the pass to Erling [Haaland], how happy and satisfied I am, especially with these two players and what they have done…"
Guardiola continued: "We're a bit disappointed but at 2-0 up we didn't manage to hold on to the lead and unfortunately we couldn't close the game.
"Today we didn't take the right decisions in the final third. I had the feeling that we didn't take the right decisions in the final third to close the game."
On the team being tired: "With the absence of the central defenders, Rodri, with many things, we are not [at our best] and we didn't take the right decisions. It's fine, it's not a good place to come. Unfortunately, we couldn't win."
On if he is happy with a point: "Yeah, it is what it is."
On why his side are struggling to hold on to leads: "I don't know, it can happen. Sometimes it happens. We have to manage a little bit better but today was not bad."

Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood on TNT Sports on manager Nuno Espirito Santo: “He has brought that belief back into me.
“As a No 9, a striker, you want that belief from your manager to know that you’re going to be out there playing week in, week out, leading the team and doing the business for him.
“He is cool, calm and collected. He works on tactical knowledge and tweaks things to make us better every week.”
Drop it like it's Slot
Liverpool manager Arne Slot speaking to TNT Sports: "You need to be a bit lucky with that [substitutions].
"We took Ibou [Konate] out at that moment who is normally a big threat on set pieces but we all know Jota can score a goal and Tsimikas has a good delivery.
"We brought them in to score a goal but they really did it after 20 seconds."
On Forest's defensive display: "Their goalkeeper had to make a few incredible saves but their defenders also made some good blocks with quite a few chances. They blocked almost every shot.
"I could not have asked for more. Second half was outstanding.
"There are not many teams that can create so many chances against an opponent so defensively strong.
"Unfortunately, we couldn't get a second."
On the reasons for his touchline frustration: "Us being one-nil down or one-one - that is always the main reason to be frustrated.
"Then you want as much playing time as possible because the team happy with the current result wants as little playing time as possible.
"There were some moments where they went to the floor, there was not a head injury, and the referee blows his whistle but there's not even treatment.
"Let's try to prevent that but that's not why we had a draw. They defended really well and we can look back at a really good second half."

Phil Foden speaking to TNT Sports: "We just looked tired at the end, the last 20, 30 minutes.
"We looked leggy and they put the pressure on and put longer balls into the box. We didn't cope with the physicality at the end.
"It's one of the toughest places to come and they give you different challenges. I was happy with the performance up until we went 1-0 up and then after that we let our performance slip and gave the ball away. It's something to learn from.
"They gave us a challenge today and we did the best we could."
On the number of games City have to play, Foden added: "We're used to it for many years.
"We've been playing the majority of the competitions and playing every three days so it's something the squad are quite used to it, no excuses."
On Kevin De Bruyne's assist for his first goal: "We've built that combination now for years.
"I've been playing with him and training with him. Me and Kev's connection is good on the pitch. He gave me the perfect ball, I just had to help it on and I was delighted to see it hit the back of the net."

Chelsea captain Reece James speaking to TNT Sports: "I knew it was a good distance and that side of the goal was open.
"There was a period where I was scoring quite frequently and I haven't had that feeling for quite a long time.
"I think we had a few clear-cut chances that we should have taken in the first half and put the game to bed.
"It's across football globally, if you have chances and you don't take them then it can come back and hurt you.
On David Brooks's potential red card: "When the referee takes a look at the monitor then it's never a good sign.
"There are positives to take away from the game but there are negatives as well. It's mixed emotions."
On England boss Thomas Tuchel in attendance: "I worked under him, he knows my capabilities."

Keep calm
Pep Guardiola was spotted screaming at Stefan Ortega after Manchester City surrendered a two-goal lead to draw at Brentford.
The 32-year-old, who filled in for the benched Ederson, appeared to be on the receiving end of a frustrated rant from Guardiola.
Ortega would have held he could have done more to keep out Yoane Wissa's goal that halved the deficit after Phil Foden's brace - before Christian Norgaard struck in stoppage time to share the spoils.
Footage showed the City boss shouting and screaming at Ortega at the full-time whistle.
Guardiola screamed and then hugged the goalkeeper three times in what was a contrast of emotions.
One angle shows the Spaniard looking particularly incensed but he and Ortega calmly walked away from each other at the end.
Credit: Rex Jota reveals touchline chat with Tsimikas
Liverpool's Diogo Jota to TNT Sports: "I love to score goals. I scored with my first touch today and that gave the team a bit of momentum. I had two more chances.
"I could have given us the three points but unfortunately. I didn't."
On his goal: "We were watching the cup goal two or three years ago where he [Tsimikas] passed it to me. On the touchline, I said, 'Let's go now, recreate your assist, take the corner.' It was one of those occasions where everything went right.
"Like I said, I'm not happy because we could have won.
On Sels' performance: "I was just telling that to my former coaches from Wolves just now. He made two or three great saves. You want to do better but he was good as well.
"It's one more point but we wanted three."
Nottingham Forest 1-1 Liverpool FULL TIME
The Premier League table toppers play out a thrilling draw at the City Ground in one of the most entertaining matches of the season.
A huge result for Nuno Espirito Santo's Forest, who have taken four points from a possible six against Arne Slot's Reds.
Chris Wood's early opener had put the Tricky Trees on course for a famous victory but Liverpool hit back after the break.
Diogo Jota scored with his first touch after coming off the bench, and then Mats Sels came to the rescue to preserve a draw.

WHAT A SAVE FROM MATS SELS!
That might be his best one off the night as he somehow gets down low to tip Cody Gakpo's effort around the far post.
The Dutchman's bent effort from the edge of the box took a slight deflection on the way through but still can't beat Sels.
Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Mohamed Salah have all been thwarted by the Forest keeper since the scores went level.

OLA AINA BLOCKS ON THE LINE!
It's so close to the late Mohamed Salah show as Forest fails to react to the second ball after Mats Sels punches a corner at the near post.
The ball drops kindly for Salah on the swivel and the Egyptian looks destined to bulge the net with his effort inside the near post.
But Aina standing on the post gets his body behind the strike!
So close to a Liverpool winner!

Just not happening thus far for Mohamed Salah!
The Egyptian wants a penalty having been sandwiched between two defenders inside the box before hitting the deck.
His appeals are waved away but Salah soon gets another chance after he's released over the top by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
However, the Premier League's top goalscorer's touch lets him down and allows Mats Sels to come out and claim.

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Liverpool SAVE
WHAT A STOP FROM MATS SELS!!
Diogo Jota looks destined to put the Reds in front with his second goal after the ball breaks kindly for him in the six-yard area.
The Portuguese lashes the loose ball goalwards on the half volley but Sels rushing off his line spreads himself to make the block.
It cannons off the recovering Ola Aina rushing towards the line behind his keeper before rebounding to safety.
GOAL! Chelsea 2-2 Bournemouth Reece James
IT'S THE CHELSEA CAPTAIN DEEP INTO STOPPAGE TIME!!
What drama in the Premier League and yet another goal from a substitute and this one is special!
Joao Felix is fouled on the edge of the Bournemouth box and James finds the far corner after bending a sumptuous ball around the wall.
GOAL! Nottingham Forest 1-1 Liverpool Diogo Jota
FIRST TOUCH FIRST GOAL!!
Tsimikas and Jota get subbed on for a Liverpool corner and the pair's first touches both end up in scoring the equaliser!!
The former is the one who takes the setpiece - and he whips across a teasing ball to the six-yard box for Jota to plant a header home.
Has there ever been such an instant reward for a double substitution in Premier League history?!
Jota's goal 22 seconds after coming off the bench is Liverpool's fastest goal from a sub on record (since 2006-07) in a Premier League match.
GOAL! Brentford 2-2 Man City Christian Norgaard
THE BEES HAVE SURELY SNATCHED A DRAW HERE!
What incredible scenes in west London as Thomas Frank's side come from two goals down with less than ten minutes to go to level things!
It's a brilliant flicked header from Norgaard with his back to goal as he beats Manuel Akanji and his effort squeezes past Stefan Ortega.
GOAL! Brentford 1-2 Man City Yoane Wissa
Are we set for a grand stand finish?
Wissa has scored his 37th Premier League goal overtaking Ivan Toney (36) to become Brentford's top Premier League goalscorer.
The Bees striker hands his side a lifeline by hammering into the top of the net following Roerslev's cross.
Fulham have also reduced the margin to within one again away at West Ham.
This is still all to play for in every Premier League match - every fixture is within one goal!
GOAL! Brentford 0-2 Man City Phil Foden
THAT'S A BRACE FOR THE BEES NEMESIS!
It's seven goals in seven now in this fixture for Foden, who has almost single-handedly taken the match away from the home side.
His first is a deft finish from an arrowing Kevin De Bruyne cross that he helps guide into the far corner.
Foden then shows similar striker instincts for his second to convert the rebound after Mark Flekken had denied Savinho.

GOAL! Chelsea 1-2 Bournemouth Antoine Semenyo
STAMFORD BRIDGE IS SILENCED!
It's a fantastic finish from Semenyo as he fires a rocket into the top corner from a tight angle.
Ryan Christie is afforded far too much time to turn in the middle of the pitch and accelerate away from Nicolas Jackson.
He feeds Semenyo on the edge of the box who stands up Josh Acheampong and leaves him for dead by darting to the byline.
The angle is still against him but Semenyo unleashes a thunderous strike that flies past Robert Sanchez into the roof of the net.
Elsewhere, Lucas Paqueta has restored West Ham's two-goal advantage over Fulham and the Irons now lead 3-1 on the night.
And Phil Foden has finally broken the deadlock in west London by putting Manchester City ahead against Brentford.
Nottingham Forest 1-0 Liverpool HALF-TIME
The visitors have been leaking goals since Alisson Becker's return from injury and it continues a worrying trend over his form.
The Brazilian suffered a hamstring issue in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at the start of October.
He has faced 15 shots on target in the Premier League following his comeback - .He's conceded 9 of them!
Credit: Getty Nottingham Forest 1-0 Liverpool HALF-TIME
The whistle goes and the home fans celebrate it like it's full-time such is the magnitude of what has unfolded.
Chris Woods' early opener has put the Tricky Trees on course to complete the double over the Premier League leaders.
Liverpool, whose only top-flight defeat prior to tonight was the reverse fixture at Anfield, have looked sloppy once again.
Their 9 shots is the most they've had without having one on target in the first half of a PL game since April 2014 (also 9 vs Chelsea).
Big 15 minutes to come for Arne Slot...
Credit: AFP GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Bournemouth Justin Kluivert
THE CHERRIES HAVE EQUALISED FROM THE SPOT!
A clumsy challenge from Moises Caicedo on Antoine Semenyo gives the visitors the opportunity to level proceedings from the restart.
Up steps Kluivert, who had already scored a hat-trick of penalties this season, and rolls home another from 12 yards.
Elsewhere, Raul Jimenez has continued his recent scoring run by pulling a goal back for Fulham against West Ham.
However, the Mexican may do well to claim it - replays show the striker may not have even got a touch on Alex Iwobi's cross.
