David Seaman praises Arsenal’s Community Shield display and says Gunners ‘can take apart most teams’ this season – LISTEN

David Seaman saw plenty of promising signs from Arsenal in their Community Shield win over Chelsea.
The Gunners endured a disappointing 2016/17 Premier League campaign as they failed to mount a title challenge and missed out on Champions League qualification.
But Seaman believes they could be set for a successful season this time around after witnessing their penalty kick triumph against the league champions at Wembley.
Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the Arsenal and England legend said: "It means a lot to beat Chelsea and to win another trophy. I was impressed by the way they played.
"What we saw is that if Arsenal can play their best game, with one-touch and two-touch and neat passing, they can take apart most teams.
"It was a good confidence boost for the start of the season."
Seaman's former teammate Paul Merson is not so optimistic about Arsenal's league prospects this season.
Merson told talkSPORT on Sunday he believes Alexis Sanchez will leave the club this summer after turning down a new contract and that will weaken Arsene Wenger's side so much that they will finish no better than sixth.
"I know where Merse is coming from," said Seaman.
"You don't want to lose your top-quality players and that is what Sanchez is. Whether Arsene digs his heels in and makes him stay, we will have to wait and see."
