Arsenal still keeping tabs on Troy Deeney despite Watford striker vowing to stay put

Arsenal will continue to monitor the progress of Watford striker Troy Deeney.
The versatile Hornets skipper is seen as an ideal back-up striker by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and would not break the north London club's budget.
Watford are determined to retain the services of a player who has been a key figure for them since 2010 and Deeney told talkSPORT last week he has no desire to leave this month.
But it would be hard for both the club and player to turn down a firm offer from title-chasing Arsenal.
Wenger will continue to keep tabs on the 27-year-old and could sanction a move in the summer.
