Arsenal transfer report: Levante join race for Gunners outcast Lucas Perez

Levante have joined the race for Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, according to reports from Spain.

The 28-year-old is desperate to leave the Emirates this summer after falling out of favour under Arsene Wenger.

Deportivo La Coruna, who sold the Spaniard to Arsenal a year ago for £17million, are keen to bring him back but they are struggling to agree a fee for him.

The Gunners are said to want £14m for Perez and, as of yet, Deportivo have not offered that.

Levante, according to Marca, have now shown an interest too and they are ready to make their move.

The Spanish club gained promotion to LaLiga last season after winning the Segunda Division and they want a new striker to help keep them in the top flight.
