Southampton and West Ham in battle for £8million Denmark defender

Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are ready to rival Southampton and West Ham for the signature of Simon Kjaer.

The Denmark international is reportedly on the move this summer after impressing for Lille in Ligue 1.

Clubs in the Premier League have shown an interest, with Southampton and West Ham leading the chase for the 26-year-old.

But, according to L'Equipe, the Premier League duo have been joined in their pursuit by teams in Turkey.

Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have all made approaches for the defender - who is valued at around £8m.

The player, though, would reportedly favour a move to England and is awaiting an offer from a Premier League side.
