Swansea sign Sweden international goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt on three-year deal

Swansea have boosted their goalkeeping options with the capture of birthday boy Kristoffer Nordfeldt from Heerenveen.

Both Gerhard Tremmel and David Cornell left the club this summer so manager Garry Monk needed competition for current first-choice Lukasz Fabianski.

And Monk has moved quickly to land the Sweden international, who is 26 today.

The former Sunderland target Nordfeldt has been No.1 at Heerenveen since 2012 and has racked up 106 Eredivisie appearances in the past three seasons.

Nordfeldt is Monk’s third signing in the close season, following deals for forward Andre Ayew and full-back Franck Tabanou.
