Manchester City transfer BLOW! Barcelona set to beat Blues to signing of Colombian starlet Yerry Mina

Spanish giants Barcelona will sign Manchester City target Yerry Mina if manager Ernesto Valverde approves, according to reports.

The Columbia international, who currently plies his trade for Brazilian club Palmeiras, is exciting many of Europe's top clubs, with Barcelona in particular keen to do business.

Valverde has enjoyed an excellent start to life at Barca, winning all seven of his matches in LaLiga but is open to improving his squad in January.

And, according to Mundo Deportivo, the £8.5million capture of Mina will be completed in January should Valverde give his seal of approval.

Manchester City were linked with the talented 23-year-old during the summer but look set to miss out on his services, with Barca ready to swoop in once the window reopens.
