‘I still believe I can change the whole situation’ – Ronald Koeman adamant he is the man for Everton

Everton manager Ronald Koeman believes he can still turn around the Toffees torrid fortunes but admits he knows how it works in football.
The future of the Dutchman is up in the air after Everton fell to a damaging 5-2 defeat against Arsenal at Goodison Park on Sunday - a result that leaves them in the bottom three with just eight points.

The beleaguered boss is one of the favourites to be the next manager to be fired from his job, as the Premier League stakes grow ever greater, but speaking after the game Koeman said such speculation was normal.
“It’s not the moment. I spoke to the players and everybody is so disappointed,” he said.
“It’s how you look at this situation. If you start to think negatively then maybe there is no solution - I am not like that.
“But once again - all the rumours and all the newspapers - but it’s normal.
“I mentioned that last Friday it’s normal. The team is underperforming and the team is in a difficult situation.
“Mentally, our confidence - we are struggling. Ok that’s what we need to change.
“Personally I still believe that I can change the whole situation but everybody knows how it works in football.”
Koeman added at the end: “Write what you like to write tomorrow.”
