Girls react to Andrea Pirlo with and without his beard

Andrea Pirlo has long been regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation and, in our opinion at least, is also one of the coolest men alive.

The Italian's career may have spanned two decades, but his trademark long hair and piercing stare have changed little over the years.

Except for one detail: that beard.

We showed two photos of Pirlo to some lovely ladies on London's South Bank, to see what they thought of New York City FC's newest signing, from his fresh-faced Milan years, to his present day bearded self.
