West Ham striker target ‘not for sale’, insists Galatasaray chief

West Ham target Burak Yilmaz is not for sale, according to Galatasaray general secretary Fatih Isbecer.

Reports had suggested the Hammers were on the verge of landing the Turkish hotshot after agreeing personal terms.

But Isbecer insists that is not the case, revealing they have not even received a bid for the prolific 30-year-old.

Yilmaz has hit 57 league goals in 91 appearances since arriving from Trabzonspor in 2012 and had been linked with both Chelsea and Arsenal, but it was their London rivals West Ham who have reportedly firmed up their interest by making an offer this summer.

However, Isbecer told NTV Spor: "We have not received an official bid for Yilmaz and do not want to sell him."

Manager Slaven Bilic is desperate to land a new striker before the transfer window shuts, especially after losing Enner Valencia for up to three months with a knee injury.

Bilic has also been linked with Emmanuel Adebayor and Javier Hernandez this summer while he missed out on Raul Jimenez, who chose to join Benfica.
