Tottenham's season hinges on success in the competition too, and they beat Bodo-Glimt 3-1 in the first leg of their tie.

'Anything can happen'
Similarly to Harry Maguire's assessment of Man United's 3-0 first leg win tonight, Ruben Amorim is keeping calm.
In fact, his post-match focus seemed to mainly be on the fact that Athletic Bilbao can make a comeback at Old Trafford, rather than celebrating his side's impressive victory.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Amorim said: "The result is really good, but we have to understand the result at the same time.
"We struggled a lot at the beginning and the sending off changed the game. Any game can change with one situation.
"We had an opportunity to score one more. This is not done and they can do the same at Old Trafford.
"They're really strong and intense. We need to be prepared."
He continued: "Of course, we have an advantage. We have our fans, but again, this could change.
"Anything can happen in one game."
Pleasing performance
Tottenham's Brennan Johnson was disappointed to concede to Bodo/Glimt late on, but he remained happy post-match.
"We're pleased," he told TNT Sports. "If before the game you would have said that we'd have a two-goal cushion, then we'd be happy with it.
"They are a tough team. There is a reason why they have beaten other teams in the past. Disappointed to concede at the end, but we are happy with the performance."
On his history-making goal after 38 seconds, he added: "I didn't realise it was that early.
"They are a team that build in confidence with time to play so we knew that we had to be onto them straight away.
"Getting the early goal really set the tempo and I thought we started really well."
'It's still not done'
Harry Maguire is keeping cool despite Man United's huge win in Bilbao this evening putting them on the brink of the final.
He told TNT Sports: "The first 20 minutes were difficult, the crowd were super loud and the intensity was high.
"I thought the lads grew into the game really well, we weathered the storm and we knew we'd get our chances and we were really clinical in that first half.
"The tie isn't done we'll be focused, ready at Old Trafford next Thursday and I'm sure Old Trafford will be like this place."
Maguire added: "All the pressure is on us now, everyone will expect us to get into the final.
"So next Thursday we need to make sure we prepare like we've done in this game, and if we do, we give ourselves a great opportunity to make the final.
"It's been a great night for us, one foot in the final, but it's still not done."
FT: Djurgarden 1-4 Chelsea
That will feel like job done for Chelsea.
They head back to Stamford Bridge after a comfortable win and they're surely heading into the Conference League final.
Goals from Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson see them claim a three-goal advantage.
Enzo Maresca will be delighted with the result and he may feel he can rotate his team for the second leg.
That will be very helpful for his squad, considering they're still competing for a Champions League place domestically.
FT: Tottenham 3-1 Bodo/Glimt
And it's all over in North London too!
It's a convincing performance from Tottenham who were cruising at 3-0 up heading into the final stages.
However, conceding late on and losing their three-goal advantage will create some nerves ahead of the second leg.
All in all though, Ange Postecoglou will be pleased.
They head to Norway next week knowing they just need to hold on to their lead to reach the final.
FT: Athletic Bilbao 0-3 Man United
The final whistle blows in Bilbao!
It’s a perfect night for Manchester United.
Thanks to goals from Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, the Red Devils take a 3-0 lead back to Old Trafford.
They have one foot in the Europa League final.
And as things stand, they’ll be facing Spurs in the showpiece.
GOAL! Tottenham 3-1 Bodo/Glimt: Ulrik Saltnes
NOW THIS IS INTERESTING!
Tottenham take a big blow late in the first leg!
Ulrik Saltnes sweeps a strike a goal and it gets deflected up into the air and over Guglielmo Vicario.
The home fans are silenced as they know how huge that could be.
As for the away fans, they've gone mental.
Spurs still have a two-goal advantage, but conceding will make things more nervy than they should be.
Welcome return
Amad Diallo is back for Man United.
For the first time since February, the Ivorian steps onto the pitch donning the Red Devils kit.
He's replaced Alejandro Garnacho, who is booked for time-wasting, while Kobbie Mainoo comes on for Patrick Dorgu.
Can Amad return in the same form he was injured in?
The winger was superb at the start of the year.
Final stages
We're into the last 10 minutes or so in Europe.
Man United have been completely comfortable in this second half, with Athletic Bilbao just shellshocked.
The hosts and their fans have been flat since the break, knowing that this tie already seems to be over.
At the 70-minute mark, Bilbao had completed just 48 passes in the second half compared to Man United's 187.
What a performance from Ruben Amorim's side.
Spurs and Chelsea are cruising in their games too.
GOALS! Djurgarden 1-4 Chelsea
Since the last Chelsea update, we've seen two more goals!
One of them came for Nicolas Jackson, who made it two goals since coming on at half time for the Blues.
He sent his strike into the top corner to make it four for his side and they had this tie wrapped up.
However, Djurgarden have managed to get one back.
Isak Alemayehu has headed in to at least bring some positivity to the Swedish side's first-ever European semi-final.
GOAL! Tottenham 3-0 Bodo/Glimt: Dominic Solanke
SPURS HAVE A CRUCIAL THIRD!
Dominic Solanke steps up to score from the penalty spot after Cristian Romero wins the spot-kick.
The striker stutters in his run-up and tucks the ball in.
Ange Postecoglou celebrates with his side cruising.
Could we be set for a Man United vs Tottenham final in the Europa League? It's looking very likely.
Woodwork!
Casemiro hits the outside of the post!
Man United comes inches away from a fourth as the Brazilian's flicked header strikes the woodwork.
Ruben Amorim then makes a double change with Matthijs De Ligt and Mason Mount coming on.
Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte come off.
We're about to enter the last 25 minutes in Europe.
GOAL! Djurgarden 0-3 Chelsea: Nicolas Jackson
ANOTHER FOR CHELSEA!
Nicolas Jackson, who came on at half time, makes it three for the Blues and they're surely through.
Jackson taps into an empty net following a pass through from fellow substitute Cole Palmer and a defensive error.
They are cruising in Sweden and will be bringing a huge lead back to Stamford Bridge.
A place in the Conference League final is all but theirs.
Huge appeals
Now we've got a check for a red card!
It comes after a foul wasn't given after Maroan Sannadi was brought down by Harry Maguire while racing clean through.
The two players seemed to be pulling eachother's shirts, but Sannadi fell first and he wanted a foul and a red card.
Bilbao's fans cause an absolute racket, screaming and whistling to try and get the referee to stop play.
Eventually, a pause does come and VAR check for a red and a free-kick, but nothing is given to Maguire.
Coming close
Man United almost have a fourth.
Patrick Dorgu sends a brilliant low cross right into the danger area and he has Alejandro Garnacho there.
It looks as if Garnacho is simply going to tap in, but instead, he falls to the ground and appeals for a penalty.
Replays show that he did get a little clip from a Bilbao defender, but the referee lets play carry on and VAR agree.
The incident was similar to the foul on Rasmus Hojlund for the penalty in the first half...
Scott Minto live on talkSPORT: "This one was with the feet, so although he was clipped, it's a difficult one to overturn.
"It's not the hand on the shirt we saw in the first half."
Back underway!
Here we go then, the second halves have started.
Man United will feel if they can keep their three-goal advantage, the tie is all but over heading to Old Trafford.
But they've got to get through another 45 minutes.
It's the same for Tottenham and Chelsea, who will want to maintain their comfortable leads to stay on the brink of a final.
Stunning stats
Have a read of these stats, Man United fans...
We'll start with the one that isn't too positive.
United have now scored more goals in their seven Europa League games in 2025 (19) than they have in their 15 Premier League games this calendar year (18).
But the Red Devils won't care about their domestic record at the moment, with a European final in their sights.
It's Bruno Fernandes who has taken the spotlight yet again, and he's reached an impressive landmark.
Fernandes is the first player in Europa League history to be directly involved in 30+ goals in the knockout rounds.
He’s managed 19 goals and 12 assists in 32 knockout appearances.
‘Incredible’
The half-time whistles have blown in Europe.
And what an incredible half of action that was.
Man United are flying in Spain, putting in a superb performance to head into the break three goals ahead.
Bruno Fernandes has two and Casemiro has one, with the Red Devils stunning the home support in 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, Tottenham and Chelsea are cruising too, leading 2-0 at half-time in their semi-finals.
It's been a perfect night for the Premier League sides so far!
Scott Minto live on talkSPORT: “This is just incredible."
GOAL! Athletic Bilbao 0-3 Man United: Bruno Fernandes
WOW, WOW, WOW!
MAN UNITED ARE BLOWING BILBAO AWAY!
Bruno Fernandes makes it 3-0 right on half time.
Manuel Ugarte superbly flicks the ball through to his captain who runs clean through on goal.
He then sets himself and tucks into the bottom corner.
Scott Minto live on talkSPORT: "I can't believe what I'm seeing.
"When Bruno picked up that ball, not for any moment did I doubt that was going into the back of the net."
GOAL! Djurgarden 0-2 Chelsea: Noni Madueke
AND NOW CHELSEA GO TWO UP!
Noni Madueke doubles the Blues' lead, tucking into the bottom corner after a lay-off from Enzo Fernandez.
The Premier League sides are flying at the moment.
It's Madueke's 11th goal of the season.
And it's also Fernandez's fifth assist in the Conference League, which is more than any other Chelsea player.
First-half changes
Athletic Bilbao have made two first-half substitutions.
Oscar de Marcos and Alex Berengeur come off.
Andoni Gorosabel and Aitor Paredes replace them as the hosts shuffle the pack early after Daniel Vivian's red card.
This has not gone to plan for the Spanish side.
But it's going perfectly for Manchester United.
GOAL! Athletic Bilbao 0-2 Man United: Bruno Fernandes
BRUNO FERNANDES SCORES FROM THE SPOT!
He feels no pressure, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way after a little stutter and calming the crowd down as he celebrates.
It's dreamland for Man United.
They've scored two in seven minutes and the tie is now well in their hands in Spain.
Scott Minto live on talkSPORT: "I don't know anyone who saw this coming."
GOAL! Tottenham 2-0 Bodo/Glimt: James Maddison
SPURS ARE TWO IN FRONT!
It's all kicking off in Europe!
One long ball comes forward and it finds James Maddison who has run on from Dominic Solanke.
He brilliantly brings it down and finishes past the goalkeeper and two defenders to make it 2-0.
What a great first half so far for the hosts!
PENALTY AND RED
MAN UNITED NOW HAVE A PENALTY!
Rasmus Hojlund is dragged down in the box by Daniel Vivian as he tries to tap in a low cross...
After a VAR check, the referee goes to the screen and takes a long look at multiple replays.
He finds that Vivian did pull Hojlund down and he's shown the Bilbao centre-back a red card!
What a big moment this is!
