United's stature and success in world football means they remain an attractive destination for players despite their recent fall from grace.

And Olympic legend Bolt has his eye on a talented trio of players that he'd love to see walk through the doors at Old Trafford.

Speaking to Bleacher Report, the eight-time gold medalist sprinter : "The left winger from Atalanta, he's called [Ademola] Lookman.

"I've watched him throughout, he's pretty good. And I think Cole Palmer has really showed his class.

"And the striker is... I can't pronounce his last name, but it's Viktor [Gyokeres] from Sporting [Lisbon]."

Lookman, formerly of Charlton Athletic and Everton, is recognised as one of the best wingers in Serie A with Atalanta.

The 27-year-old scored a stunning hat-trick in their Europa League final win against Bayer Leverkusen last season.

He has since followed that up with 18 goals and seven assists across all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign.

Palmer has endured a difficult second season with Chelsea having not scored since their 2-2 draw against Bournemouth in January.

However, he has still netted 14 goals and assisted another ten for the Blues to make him their most productive contributor.

The ex-Manchester City academy star is also a boyhood United fan, but a transfer would likely require a record-breaking fee.

Gyokeres is certainly an understandable pick from Bolt given he used to work with United head coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting.

Since moving to the Portuguese giants from Coventry City in 2023, the strike has scored an incredible 95 goals in 98 appearances.

talkSPORT understands that Arsenal have added Gyokeres to their shortlist, although United have also been heavily linked with him.

United could enter the summer transfer window as Europa League champion to further boost their plans in the market.

They beat ten-man Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in their semi-final first leg on Thursday night and will host the second leg at Old Trafford this week.

Amorim's side are on course to face Tottenham in the final as they hold a 3-1 aggregate lead over Bodo/Glimt.

This year's Europa League final is scheduled four days before the last day of the Premier League season.

And once the on-pitch action has concluded, United will begin their work in the transfer market ahead of the new campaign.
