Arsenal have a tough task ahead of them as they visit the French capital on Wednesday looking to overturn a one-goal deficit in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final.

Ousmane Dembele’s early opener in London was enough to settle the scores in the first leg, and PSG boss Luis Enrique had the luxury of making a raft of changes for their weekend fixture after sealing the Ligue 1 title last month.

Ousmane Dembele scored the only goal of the game as he opened the scoring with a fourth-minute striker in London, and while he did pick up a knock that forced him off in the second half, the Frenchman is expected to make a full recovery in time for the return leg on Wednesday.

That was Dembele’s 33rd goal of the season and his 26th since the start of 2025, while he has chipped in with another nine assists this term, too.

The 27-year-old has only failed to contribute either a goal or an assist in three of his 20 competitive starts for PSG since the turn of the year and he could spur his side on to Munich this week.

Dembele leads the way for shots (175) and shots on target (80) for PSG this season and he found the net from his only attempt at the Emirates. With Arsenal forced to attack as they look to overturn the first-leg deficit, Dembele should get a few more opportunities to have a pop at David Raya’s goal, and he has had at least three shots in 20 of his last 23 competitive starts for club and country.

Leandro Trossard could hit back for the Gunners, though. The Belgium international is a man in form right now after scoring four times in his last six competitive starts and he tested Gianluigi Donnarumma twice in the first leg. He has registered at least one shot on target in each of his last six starts for Arsenal.

Mikel Merino has committed 50 fouls across all competitions for Arsenal this season, averaging 1.89 fouls per 90 minutes for the club. Two of these came against PSG last week, making it three successive games in which he has committed two fouls.

Somebody on the receiving end of Merino’s offences could be teenage sensation Desire Doue, who has made himself a regular in Les Parisiens’ attack recently. He has been fouled at least once in each of his last eight appearances, totalling 13 fouls drawn in this period.

Arsenal followed their first-leg defeat with a loss to Bournemouth on Saturday, and they should struggle to beat a well-rested PSG on their own patch.

However, Wednesday’s hosts will be happy to settle for a draw, and they come up against a Gunners side that has drawn six of their last 14 games in all competitions. Two of their previous four away games have ended 1-1, so that looks a solid final scoreline prediction.
