Liverpool transfer rumours: Latest gossip as Brazilian star ‘agrees terms’ and Reds are linked with ex-Man United striker

Following the utterly ridiculous events that unfolded on Saturday lunchtime in the 5-4 win at Norwich, Liverpool could do worse than turn to the transfer market to remedy some clear deficiencies.

Their weaknesses, particularly in defence and in goal, were exposed emphatically yet again with the Reds now conceding seven goals from the last eight shots they’ve faced in the Premier League.

The January transfer window is usually a more anticlimactic event than the summer version, and Liverpool’s two recruits so far - Marjo Grujic and Steven Caulker on loan - support that theory.

So will they choose to re-enter the market with a week to go?
