Cork: Pietersen’s return massive for England

Dominic Cork says Kevin Pietersen's return has given England a huge boost ahead of the Ashes series against Australia.

The batsman scored 49 against Essex on Sunday in his first international appearance of the summer, having been sidelined by a knee injury since March.

"He's a massive player," Cork, said speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. "He's an important cog for the whole of the series. He is one of the best players in the world."
