West Ham transfer news: Inter unlikely to rival Hammers for Schurrle signature, according to reports

West Ham United transfer news

Inter are unlikely to rival West Ham's pursuit of Borussia Dortmund forward Andre Schurrle, according to reports in Italy.

The Germany international has become a peripheral figure at the Westfalenstadion and is expected to leave the this month in order to feature more regularly ahead of this summer's World Cup.

Schurrle, who scored 11 times in 44 appearances for Chelsea during a two-year stint, is still very much in high demand despite his lack of playing time and a number of clubs have been linked with the 27-year-old.

As talkSPORT revealed yesterday, Inter were believed to be closely monitoring his situation, while West Ham have also stated their interest in trying to lure him back to the Premier League.

However, according to Premium Sport, Inter have cooled their interest in Schurrle and are currently looking at other potential transfer targets.

This will serve as good news for David Moyes, who is expected to bring in a number of new additions this month in an attempt to pull the Hammers clear of relegation trouble.
