Manchester United news: Five starlets who could save the Red Devils a fortune

Manchester United are currently floundering in fifth place in the Premier League and a transfer window boost is the shot in the arm they need.

Currently, though, the Red Devils seem unlikely to do big business this month so it might be up to some homegrown starlets to provide some joy at Old Trafford before the season ends.

Man United’s academy has come in for some stick recently as their Under-18s underperform, but players like Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Paddy McNair have featured regularly this year and done well.

And there are plenty of other youngsters in Warren Joyce’s impressive Under-21 side who could bring some sparkle, and some steel, to the first-team before the end of the campaign.
