Liverpool FC transfer news: Reds give green light to Daniel Sturridge's Inter Milan loan move

Liverpool have given the green light to Daniel Sturridge joining Inter Milan on loan.

The striker wants to leave Anfield this month so he can secure sufficient game time to earn himself a spot on the plane to the World Cup this summer.

Inter Milan are interested in the England international and, according to Sportitalia, a deal is now on the cards.

The San Siro club have been told by Liverpool they can take Sturridge on loan for the rest of the season.

The deal will also contain the option for Inter to buy the player outright in the summer, if they cough up £18million.

Sturridge has been attracting interest from other clubs in Italy recently, including Roma.
