Juventus confirm they want to keep Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado beyond current loan deal

Juventus are hoping to keep on-loan Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado, according to the Italian side's sporting director Giuseppe Marotta.

The Colombian arrived at Stamford Bridge in £26m move from Fiorentina in February last year but started just four Premier League games in the second half of the campaign.

Having struggled to settle in London, Cuadrado was sent on loan to Juventus for the whole of this campaign - and he has so far played 16 times in Serie A.

He is due back in west London this summer but now Marotta has revealed that Juve are hoping to keep him in Turin beyond his current loan.

Speaking to Rai Sport, he said: "He is on loan but for the squad and his tactical flexibility we really need him.

"He plays in a different way compared to all our other midfielders.

"Cuadrado could help us a lot and we are happy about his performances. We will try to hold on to him for the next campaign."
