Arsenal FC transfer news: Summer transfer target Alban Lafont reveals a fondness for the Gunners

Toulouse wonder kid Alban Lafont has revealed he is a boyhood Arsenal fan amid speculation linking him with the Gunners.

As talkSPORT told you earlier this, Arsenal are among the clubs currently keeping tabs on the 19-year-old goalkeeper, who has played his way into the No.1 spot with the French club.

Despite his young age, Lafont has already played 87 times in Ligue 1 and now some of Europe's biggest clubs are circling.

Lazio and Napoli are well aware of his promise, while Watford are also said to be keeping a close eye on his progress.

But now Lafont has dropped a huge hint on who he would like to join next.

He told RMC: “I like Arsenal a lot. I have followed them since I was little.

“It was when [Robin] van Persie was playing, I liked his style.

“That was when Arsenal had a real effect on me.”
