‘He’s finished!’ – Fans react to Stan Collymore’s view that Manchester United must get rid of Wayne Rooney

Stan Collymore believes it is the end of Wayne Rooney unless he leaves Manchester United.

He was speaking on Monday Night Feist Night with Mark Saggers and said the all the England captain brings to the table for his £300,000-a-week wage packet, is drill the odd ball from one flank to the other.

Collymore believes that Louis van Gaal must bench his captain and if that does not restore him to his previous form, then Rooney must leave the club.

He also thinks the reluctance of both Van Gaal and Roy Hodgson to drop Rooney is detrimental to the careers of Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane.

Manchester United fans got involved with the debate on Twitter and the majority backed the assertions put forward by Collymore.
