Aston Villa latest: Micah Richards a doubt for Southampton clash, but Agbonlahor set to return

Aston Villa could be without Micah Richards for their Premier League trip to Southampton this weekend.

The former Manchester City defender has been one of the bright sparks in an otherwise dismal campaign for the Villains so far, but manager Remi Garde may have to make a change at the back against the Saints while Richards recovers from a knee problem.

However, there was some good news for Garde, who is expecting Gabby Agbonlahor to feature for the first time since November 2.

"Gabby has trained this week with the group," Garde confirmed.

"Micah hasn't really trained too much this week.

"Tiago Ilori is still not fully fit to be selected," added Garde.

"He is in a good way but he is not quite ready at the moment."
