Google trends! The top 10 most searched for athletes revealed

Football has underlined its status as the most popular sport in Britain by bagging five of the top 10 Google searches for sportspeople in 2015.

In a year where Chelsea secured a league and cup double, Wales drew England in Euro 2016 and Jamie Vardy set a new Premier League record for goals scored in consecutive games, football has retained its place at the top.

Tennis, rugby and F1 stars also feature on the list, but there is no place for any cricketers, despite England regaining the Ashes.
