A video was uploaded on social media and some fans tweeted their disagreement at Stan's action, but the talkSPORT presenter hit back with a reasoned, passionate explanation: “When I put my hand out and give the thumbs down, that’s the supporter in me saying that I disapprove of this guy as a fan.
“But with the words coming out of my mouth, when he’s playing football: ‘good pass from Delph, good challenge from Delph, poor pass from Delph’, I treat him the same as everybody else.”
