If you’re going to do well at World Cup 2018 you’re going to need a good goalkeeper.
It can be hard to find a great man to between the sticks, just ask Argentina. They may have Lionel Messi and a plethora of attacking talents but when it comes to shot-stoppers they’re thin on the ground and Chelsea back-up Willy Caballero looks set to start for them.
Caballero, though, could end up being the hero of the day for them if he excels in his matches and this could win him the coveted Golden Glove, which was won by Manuel Neuer in 2014.

Neuer will retain his Golden Glove in between the sticks for Die Manschafft, as it is inevitable they will once again reach the latter stages of this tournament. I'm backing him to play an important role in the Germans' campaign, despite his recent recovery from a broken foot which has kept him out all season.
Who else? His Spain side are not what they were between 2008-2012 but a very good team nonetheless. They have a pretty easy group and will probably only get knocked out by a 1-0 margin in the latter stages of the competition.
David de Gea is the best goalkeeper at the World Cup, but the Golden Glove award is likely to go to a player on the winning team. Germany’s Neuer takes this honour.
In a bid to avoid the obvious shouts, and although I don’t really rate him too highly, Uruguay’s Fernando Muslera may end up with a chance depending how far his nation goes. Some sterling stops in the group stages and a heroic knockout display, or two, could seal it. If not, it will land in the lap of David De Gea.
Even if Cristiano Ronaldo gets through against him, he's got Iran and Morocco to play in the group stage.
While France and Brazil may well blow their opposition away with goals, the resolute German defence will more than likely keep goals out for fun. Manuel Neuer looks to be back to his best already and will be desperate to show the world he is still the best on the planet. Keeping goals out will not be a problem, but scoring them could the downfall for Joachim Low’s side.
To score against Spain, you first have to get the ball off them. Then you have to find a way past Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique. If you manage all that, the world's best goalkeeper still stands in your way. Iran and Morocco won't pose much of a threat to the Spanish goal in the group stage.
