Rangers manager Steven Gerrard preparing move for former Liverpool team-mate Jon Flanagan
The 25-year-old is a free agent after leaving Anfield this summer and is having a medical at Ibrox according to reports

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is ready to give former Liverpool team-mate Jon Flanagan a career lifeline by bringing him to Glasgow.
Flanagan, 25, is available on a free transfer after being released by Liverpool at the end of the season, having made 51 appearances for the club since breaking through to the first team in 2011.
The right-back had previously been a first-team regular but his career has stalled amid injury problems and personal issues off the field.
Flanagan was given a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to assaulting his girlfriend in January of this year.
He remained on Liverpool’s books after his sentence, and spent the tail end of last season at Championship side Bolton.
But, , he could now be set to join Gerrard’s revolution in Glasgow, with some reports in Scotland claiming the player is having a medical at Ibrox.
Flanagan has heaps of experience for his age.
He was Brendan Rodgers' first-choice right-back when the Reds came agonisingly close to the Premier League title in 2014.
He was also capped once by England and was on the list of standby players for the World Cup in Brazil four years ago.
Later that summer, though, Flanagan suffered a knee injury in pre-season which ravaged his next two campaigns.
The defender joined Burnley on loan for the 2016/17 season, but was restricted to just 10 appearances. He then returned to Liverpool but made just nine appearances under Jurgen Klopp.
But, it is claimed Gerrard believes he can help the Melwood graduate rebuild his career at Rangers and wants to bring him to the club this summer.
