‘Most shameless player in football’ – Neymar slammed for crying after Brazil beat Costa Rica
The Selecao’s poster boy came in for a lot of criticism during his side’s win

Neymar scored Brazil’s second of two injury time goals as they snatched a late 2-0 victory over Costa Rica on Friday and was then seen crying at the final whistle.
The Ticos gave a valiant effort but were ultimately beaten by the Selecao as Philippe Coutinho found the breakthrough in the first additional minute, before Neymar tapped in a second.
After a frustrating game in which he had been largely ineffective and had a penalty taken away from him as the result of a VAR review, this moment became all too much for the Brazilian as he broke down crying at the final whistle.
Fans were less than sympathetic however, with many pointing out that Brazil had just beaten Costa Rica in the group stage, not Germany in the final.
Others used it as a chance to mock the 26-year-old for his attempt to win the penalty earlier in the match.
