Rangers become favourites to sign Jermain Defoe as Gers boss Steven Gerrard goes on hunt for new striker
The new Rangers boss has made a number of acquisitions since becoming the manager earlier this summer

Rangers have emerged as frontrunners to sign Jermain Defoe this summer.
The striker currently plies his trade at Bournemouth but is reportedly on new Gers boss Steven Gerrard's radar.
Gerrard has made a number of signings at his new club and appears to be keen to add another frontman to the fold.
Potential Rangers line-up for next season
However, Defoe's £65,000-a-week wage demands have proved a stumbling block.
Defoe, 35, returned to training with the Cherries squad earlier this week as the club began preparations for the 2018/19 season.

However, it is thought that interest of a number of clubs could lure the ex-England international away from the south coast.
According to Bet Victor, Rangers are the favourites at 3/1 to land Defoe should he leave Eddie Howe's side.
Leeds United and Nottingham Forest are priced at 10/1, while Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday are out at 12/1.
