For West Ham United fans, the summer transfer window often brings about a familiar cyclical pattern.
First, there's the link to the top European centre forward (think Alexandre Lacazette in 2016) to get fans excited.
Then, there's the inevitable slew of loan signings and cheap youngsters which are 'meant for the future'.
And finally, there's the complete and utter disappointment of signing absolutely no-one worth celebrating (sorry Simone Zaza).
However, something feels a little bit different this time around in east London.
The rumour mill which is normally in overdrive at this point of the season is reasonably quiet, yet the signings keep coming.
After completing a £17 million move for Andriy Yarmolenko, fans around the country are starting to get a tad worried.
Yarmolenko becomes the Hammers' fifth summer transfer, after Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop, Lukasz Fabianksi and Jack Wilshere.
