Rangers have seen a bid for Hearts striker Kyle Lafferty rejected by their Scottish Premiership rivals.
Manager Steven Gerrard has brought ten new players to the Ibrox this summer but is still keen to strengthen his attacking options ahead of his first season in charge.
, the Liverpool legend has identified the Norther Ireland international and former Rangers frontman as the ideal player to lead his line.
But, the Scottish paper reports Hearts have rejected the Glasgow outfit’s approach, after they tabled a bid of just £200,000.
Lafferty scored 19 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for the Edinburgh club last season.
The 30-year-old spent four seasons with Rangers between 2008 and 2012, winning three Scottish league titles.
He only has one year left on his contract at Tynecastle Park.
