Ex-England defender played at Aston Villa last term but could now ply his trade in Russia

Chelsea legend John Terry is reportedly undergoing a medical ahead of a transfer to Spartak Moscow, .

The former Blues star is a free agent having left Aston Villa in the summer when his contract expired.

A number of clubs were interested in Terry’s services, including the Villans and Sporting Lisbon.

But now it appears he is on the way to Russia.

Reports suggest the centre-back is having medical examinations ahead of the transfer with Spartak Moscow needing a replacement for Samuel Gigot, who is out for the season following an injury.

It’s believed Terry will be handed a one-year contract with the option for a second campaign.
