Real Madrid intend to begin their Santiago Bernabeu renovation project before the end of 2018.
The Spanish giants still need to secure permission from club partners to cover the financial side of things, but , virtually everything is now ready for work to begin.
Los Blancos’ plans for their new stadium were initially announced in 2014, though the project then hit a stumbling block.
Madrid are now ready to proceed with the idea again, as they plan to convert their old stadium into a giant metallic structure.
The new Bernabeu, will reportedly cost €400m (£355m) and feature a 360-degree video screen, retractable roof and various shopping facilities.
