‘Manchester City are still playing catch-up on Manchester United – you can’t forget history’, says former Blues goalkeeper David Seaman
Seaman responds to Paul Dickov’s claim on talkSPORT that City are now a bigger club than United due to their recent success

David Seaman says Manchester is blue on pitch right now, but it will take some time for Manchester City to overtake Manchester United as the bigger club.
The former goalkeeper was responding to claims made by Paul Dickov, the ex-striker who said City are now a bigger club than their red rivals due to their recent trophy success.
Manchester United have not won the Premier League title in five years since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
City, meanwhile, have gone from strength to strength under manager Pep Guardiola and smashed a whole host of records as they lifted the trophy last season.

“But you can’t get away from Manchester United’s history and the stuff they’ve won.
“Man City are playing catch-up, but they’re getting there.
“When you see their quality on the pitch and what they’re achieving, it’s great.
“It’s great to be a blue.”
"What is he on?!"
Manchester-born and boyhood blue Lee Dixon also agreed with former Arsenal team-mate Seaman, and laughed off Dickov’s bold claim on social media…
