The English full back was to blame for City’s sixth-minute opener as Raheem Sterling troubled him before finding Riyad Mahrez to slam home.

Sterling continued to terrorise Trippier as the game progressed, leading Spurs fans to criticise their man’s performance.
Despite playing on a poor pitch, Pep Guardiola’s side had no issues implementing their usual, stylish football, which gave Kieran Tripper a tough night.
