Paris Saint-Germain ‘lining up bid’ for Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure

The 25-year-old midfielder has been a long-term target for the French champions

Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a £26.5m offer for Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure, according to reports.

The 25-year-old is a key member of the first team at Vicarage Road and he pledged his future to the club by signing a deal which runs until 2023 in the summer.

But that has not dampened interest from Ligue 1 giants PSG, who explored the idea of signing him before the last transfer window shut in September.

And now, according to , the French champions are ready to go back to Watford with a solid offer.

RMC Sport has claimed that the Parc des Princes club are ready to offer Watford £26.5m for the Frenchman, who is said to be rated closer to £35m by his employers.

The Hornets are blessed with depth in central midfield - with Nathaniel Chalobah, Will Hughes and Etienne Capoue all highly rated in the centre of the park.

However, Doucoure is widely seen as the pick of the bunch, and Watford will point towards his impressive form this season as justification for their £35m price tag.
