Max Aarons: Arsenal rival Tottenham in race for Norwich and England starlet

The right-back is rated at £15million by Championship promotion contenders Norwich

Arsenal and Tottenham are battling to sign Norwich starlet Max Aarons, according to reports.

say the Gunners will match any move Spurs make for the teenager, who they were first linked with earlier this month.

Tottenham are believed to be the front-runners for Aarons, though they will struggle to sign him in January unless offering Norwich the opportunity to take him on loan until the end of the season.

Norwich value the defender, who turns 19 next week, at around the £15million mark.

Predominantly a right-back, Aarons can also play on the left side of defence and he's made 22 appearances for Norwich since debuting in the Carabao Cup earlier this year.

He began his career in Luton's academy before joining Norwich in 2016, and Aarons' rise to prominence at Carrow Road has seen him win four caps for England Under-19s.

Foreign clubs are also believed to be looking at Aarons, including RB Leipzig of the Bundesliga.
