Chapman on Benteke’s future and Tottenham’s attempts to sign Chadli

Belgian football expert John Chapman joins talkSPORT to chat about the latest news from across the channel.

He discusses Christian Benteke’s decision to hand in a transfer request at Aston Villa and looks at how he did exactly the same at previous club Genk.

Chapman also adds he doesn’t feel the striker is good enough to play for side challenging for the title like Chelsea, or even Tottenham, as he is still very raw.

And he looks at rumours that Twente’s Belgian star Nacer Chadli could also be set to join Spurs. Chapman adds that £7.5million would be a good price for the players.

He reveals that the midfielder has already turned down offers from Shakhtar Donetsk and Lokomotiv Moscow as he postures for a move to the Premier League.
