Chelsea transfer target Mauro Icardi will not sign a new contract with Inter Milan, according to reports.
According to , Icardi’s agent and wife, Wanda Nara, has told the club her husband will not renew his current deal, which expires in 2021.
Speculation has been growing over the striker’s future at the Italian club with Chelsea looking to find a replacement for Alvaro Morata, who they are trying to offload to Sevilla.
Icardi has a £100million buyout clause in his current contract that was signed in 2016.
He has so far declined to put pen-to-paper on any contracts that have been offered to him by Inter and it looks unlikely he will do so.
Another name on the Blues’ radar is Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain while they are also reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson.
Icardi was absent from Inter Milan’s first training session following their winter break.

The 25-year-old was fined by the club for arriving late from his homeland despite informing club chiefs of his travel problems.
