Hickman on the power struggle at Newcastle

North East correspondent for The Express, Niall Hickman, joins Nat Coombs and sports writer Matt Scott to discuss the apparent power struggle within the hierarchy at Newcastle United.

Manager Alan Pardew’s status at the club has been put in doubt ever since chairman Mike Ashley’s decision to appoint former Magpies boss Joe Kinnear as director of football, but Hickman says the current coach is unlikely to leave the club willingly.

He also adds that he believes Kinnear wants Pardew’s job, despite stating that he and the Toon boss will work together next season.
