Former Celtic striker Tony Watt among nine uncapped players handed Scotland call-up

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has called up nine uncapped players including former Celtic striker Tony Watt ahead of a pair of friendly internationals.
Watt, who is on loan at Blackburn from Charlton, is included despite often being overlooked for the Scotland Under-21 squad.
The other uncapped call-ups are Dundee goalkeeper Scott Bain, Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald, Aberdeen's Kenny McLean, Leeds defender Liam Cooper, Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, Brighton winger Jamie Murphy and Oliver Burke of Nottingham Forest.
Strachan has picked two different 19-man squads for friendlies against the Czech Republic and Denmark later this month.
Hull winger Robert Snodgrass is recalled after an 18-month absence because of a knee injury and there are also returns for QPR winger Matt Phillips and midfielder Liam Bridcutt, who is currently on loan at Leeds from Sunderland.
There is no place for Aberdeen pair Graeme Shinnie and Mark Reynolds, who have previously made squads, and there are no Rangers players included.
Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes is not among five strikers named over the two squads.
Strachan revealed that the likes of Rhodes were omitted because he already knows enough about them.
"There's a group who will play one game, that's looking after the players and making sure they get plenty of rest," he said.
"There's another group who are involved in two squads, they are guys who are not getting games for their clubs so it's beneficial for them and the feedback from the club is it's a good idea.
"There's another group - Jordan, Ross McCormack, Johnny Russell, Lee Wallace - guys that I know can do a job. But there is no point bringing them along and depressing them by taking them all around Europe and maybe not getting a game, because I want to see the other guys I have brought in.
"There could be 10 in there - I know what they can do but I need to see other people."
When asked whether Shinnie was in the latter group, Strachan said: "I know what Graeme can do, I know what Mark Reynolds can do. I could go on a long time. I know I can trust these guys, they have been in squads. But I must look to see if there is anything out there better. And players understand."
