Anthem: Premier League stars Jesse Lingard and Erik Lamela to wear ‘special’ boots
The duo, along with Felipe Anderson and Kasper Schmeichel will wear the incredible designs in partnership with EA
A quartet of Premier League superstars will wear specially designed adidas boots based on the hit computer game 'Anthem'.
Erik Lamela, Jesse Lingard, Kasper Schmeichel, and Felipe Anderson have all partnered with Electronic Arts to don the exceptional customised cleats.
Each player has a unique design which correlates to their playing style on the pitch and a ‘Javelin suit’ which represents them from EA’s brand new game Anthem.
Produced by the talented Pierre Navarro, who has customised boots for the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Romelu Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Didier Drogba, the quartet will have some real masterpieces on their feet.
Which Javelin Suit will each player wear?
- Storm [Jesse Lingard] – A specialist in inflicting damage from distance
- Interceptor [Felipe Anderson] – The most agile, equipped with lightning-fast speed
- Ranger [Erik Lamela] – An all-rounder that has strong defence and attack
- Colossus [Kasper Schmeichel] – Large and most powerful, commanding the combat area
Navarro, who created the four Anthem Javelin boots from his studio in La Rochelle, France, said: “It has been a wonderful experience to be able to draw inspiration from the colours and beautiful world of Anthem and the special powers of the Javelin suits. I hope the boots can help give the players superhuman powers on the pitch.”

Lingard, who will wear his Storm themed boots upon his return from injury, commented: “I love that these boots are completely unique to me. I’m into my fashion so to have bespoke boots is pretty special. I can’t wait to get out on the pitch to see whether I can deliver some damage from long-range like the Storm.”
Meanwhile, West Ham ace Anderson was impressed with his boots, which were personally presented to him by designer Pierre Navarro in London.
He believes they complement his style: “I always try to play with speed and agility, so the Interceptor definitely suits me and my style," he said. "I love the bright green of the design. Hopefully it will dazzle my opponents when I’m running at them with the ball.”
