Leeds United news: Club hit back at Reading with stinging tweet after Royals’ ‘Spygate’ jibe
Reading poked fun at Leeds over ‘Spygate’ but it was the Premier League hopefuls enjoying the last laugh

Leeds beat Reading on the pitch and had the last laugh on Twitter, too, as they returned to the top of the Championship table on Tuesday.
Mateusz Klich’s opener and Pablo Hernandez’s brace saw the Whites leapfrog Norwich into first, with Daniel Farke’s men not in action against Hull City until Wednesday.
Before the match, Leeds tweeted that former players Lewis Baker and Mo Barrow were starting for the Royals, who also named “Reading fans” among their substitutes’ bench.
And Reading cheekily replied: “But you already knew our team, right lads?” alongside a man using binoculars in reference to Leeds’ “Spygate” controversy where a club employee was caught watching Derby players train in January.
Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa later admitted to regularly sending employees to watch their Championship rivals train and Leeds were fined £200,000 and received a formal reprimand by the EFL.

So the Whites had the last laugh with the result leaving Reading 18 places below the Championship leaders and three points above the relegation zone.
