Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny admits he convinced Aaron Ramsey to join Juventus
Ramsey, who will join the Italian giants for free in the summer, was in attendance to watch his new club celebrate an eighth consecutive Serie A title on Sunday
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has admitted he helped convince Aaron Ramsey to join him at Juventus.
Ramsey was reduced to tears as he bid farewell to the club following their home match with Brighton, after 11 years at the Emirates ahead of his free transfer switch to Juventus.
The Welshman, who will be missing from the Europa League final after a hamstring injury abruptly ended his Arsenal career, was in attendance to watch his new club celebrate a eighth consecutive Serie A title.
Szczesny, who played alongside Ramsey for eight seasons, winning two FA Cups, before joining Juventus in 2017, has said he will take care of the midfielder when he arrives.

"He came here for treatment, but here we have the best physiotherapists in the world, he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I took him out for dinner one evening, he’ll be a great player for us.
"He’s a midfielder with a lot of quality, he’s very good positionally, he scores lots of goals and provides lots of assists.
"When he’s fit, he’s one of the best and he’ll give us a big hand in achieving our objectives.
"Whether he plays as a midfielder or No 10 depends on the new Coach.
"For me he can also play at right-back, since he defends very well. "Ramsey asked me what happened with Allegri, although in any case, he would’ve started working with a new coach.
"We talked to each other a couple of times before he signed for Juventus. He asked me for some advice. "I told him: ‘It’s easy. If Juve call you, you can only say ‘yes’.’
"That’s how it went and it means Aaron listens to me.
"He’s had five months to prepare and he’s already picked up a little bit.
"When I took him to dinner, he said more than just a ‘hello’. ‘He partly understood me and that’s a good basis to work from. I’ll take care of the rest to give him a hand."
Ramsey will make a 13-hour round trip to support Arsenal when they face Chelsea in the Europa League final in Baku, after cutting short a family holiday in Portugal.
