Pep Guardiola faces losing out on Manchester City transfer target to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are close to beating Manchester City to the signature Rennes midfielder Ousmane Dembele, according to reports.

The German giants have reportedly reached an agreement with the French club which will see Dembele remain with Rennes on loan until the end of next season.

Pep Guardiola tried to sign the teen sensation in January but Rennes refused to enter negotiations with Bayern.

With Guardiola on his way to City, Bayern are eager to force through a deal as soon as possible to prevent the Spaniard from hijacking the move.

And reports suggest a deal is close to being completed and the France youth international will join up with the Bavarians for the 2017/18 season.
