Liverpool transfer news: Reds ‘will not’ resurrect interest in Nabil Fekir 12 months after deal collapsed
Reports in France suggested they were looking for a cut price deal for the playmaker

Liverpool will reportedly not be reviving a deal for Lyon attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir.
The Reds were close to completing a £53million deal for the player last summer but it collapsed because of concerns about a historic knee injury.
They sought a second opinion but decided not to take the risk because of the money involved in the transfer.
The deal was so close that he had even been interviewed for club media and photographed in a Liverpool shirt.
Reports in France suggested the Reds were still interested in the 25-year-old in a cut-price deal as he is entering the final 12 months of his contract.
According to Press Association Sport, the club’s stance has not changed since the player failed his medical and the deal was declared dead.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has admitted there is ‘an understanding’ to allow Fekir to leave.
However, with the club still wanting around £45million for a player with just 12 months left on his contract it would benefit the Ligue 1 club if they can generate an auction for his services.
Last season he scored nine Ligue 1 goals in 29 games and created five as the club finished third.
