Sunderland complete deal for Greek midfielder Mavrias

Sunderland have completed the signing of Greek international midfielder Charalampos Mavrias.

The 19-year-old has joined the Black Cats from Panathinaikos for an undisclosed fee, penning a three-year deal with Paolo Di Canio's side.

Mavrias, who has made two appearances for his country, is the 11th signing made by Di Canio this summer.

He came through the Athens side’s academy, before making his club debut in the UEFA Champions League as a 16-year-old in 2010, when he became the second youngest player ever to play in the competition.
