Manchester United ready to join transfer fight for Portgual star Rafa Silva

Manchester United and Porto are set for a summer bidding war over Sporting Braga ace Rafa Silva.

The Portugal international is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the Primeira Liga and has been Braga's star player this term.

Porto have been clear favourites to land the 22-year-old since last summer.

However, according to A Bola, Porto are unwilling to meet Braga's valuation of £16m for the midfielder, which could prompt United to hijack the deal.

Should United make contact with Braga about a bid, Porto are likely to reconsider their position, which could spark a bidding war in the summer.
