Who is England’s best right-back? Trent Alexander-Arnold likely to make position his own ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Kyle Walker
England have three of the best right-backs in Europe, according to former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy.
Speaking to talkSPORT hosts Jim White and Natalie Sawyer, Murphy waxed lyrical about the talents of Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Manchester City's Kyle Walker are the other hugely impressive talents at national manager Gareth Southgate's disposal.

For a number of years England were alarmingly short in the right-back department - Glen Johnson was the only one who appeared at the 2014 World Cup.
That isn't the case anymore, though.
Danny Murphy is correct in saying England have three top-class right backs - Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Aaron Wan-Bissaka - at their disposal right now.

As Murphy said, Gareth Southgate has a 'massive headache', but one which is currently being edged by Liverpool starlet Alexander-Arnold.
The 20-year-old exudes a maturity that belies his years, making two European Cup finals appearances to date.
A Champions League winner already with his hometown club, his technical ability and passing range is particularly impressive - especially for a full-back.
While he is susceptible to being caught out defensively sometimes, the same applies to Walker.

Murphy commented that he believed Alexander-Arnold's crossing is 'already as good' as David Beckham's was.
A bold shout, granted. But in terms of his technique he is right up there in terms of defenders in world football. "Normally it's a midfielder who possesses those type of qualities," Murphy explained.
Wan-Bissaka, still only 21, is defensively stronger than Alexander-Arnold but there are still question marks about him going forward.

Walker is still playing at the highest level with the reigning Premier League champions at the Etihad and has lost none of the pace that make him a nightmare to defend against.
However, sooner rather than later you wouldn't be surprised to see Alexander-Arnold overtake him and make the right-back berth his own for his country - just like he has for his beloved Reds.
"He's going to make goals for whatever team he plays in," Murphy added of the Liverpool star.
