Liverpool news: Bobby Duncan says there’s no hard feelings as he completes permanent transfer to Fiorentina

Bobby Duncan says he leaves Liverpool with ‘special memories’ after sealing his permanent move to Fiorentina.
The academy forward’s departure was confirmed on Monday, with the Merseyside club agreeing to sell the 18-year-old for £1.7million.
Duncan, the cousin of Reds legend Steven Gerrard, leaves the club having scored 32 goals for Liverpool’s under-18s last season - his first since arriving from Manchester City.
His exit came after an apparently bitter falling out between him, the club and his agent.
The youngster was unsettled at Melwood and told Liverpool he wanted to leave this summer, but club chiefs intended to hold onto him.

That led to an explosive statement from his agent, accusing Liverpool of 'destroying' Duncan's life and saying his mental health had been affected by the Reds’ refusal to sell.
The youngster also came out on social media saying he ‘just wants to play’.
Former Reds stars Jamie Carragher and Danny Murphy even weighed in on the argument and slammed the youngster's agent, with Carragher saying the club will never deal with him again.
Manager Jurgen Klopp also launched a strong defence of their handling of Duncan, and all young players at the club, stressing how highly they rated him on Friday.
But, having initially tabled a ‘derisory’ bid, Italian club Fiorentina returned with an improved offer over the weekend and Liverpool’s position altered, with a deal being struck before the European transfer deadline.
And, after getting his wish, it appears there are no hard feelings as Duncan thanked the club for his brief spell.
